/About/
I am a research engineer with more than 20 years experience in wireless communications. I recently joined the ASTRACOM Research Group at Politecnico di Torino, Italy, where I conduct research on satellite communications.
Previously, I worked on 4G and 5G radio access networks, as well as terrestrial and satellite digital video broadcasting.
Before moving to industry, I spent nearly a decade in academia, conducting research on wireless and satellite communications.
I earned a Ph.D. in Electronics and Communications ad a Laurea1 in Telecommunications Engineering from Politecnico di Torino.
My primary research interest is error correction codes in all its forms – from coding for broadband transmissions to ultra-reliable communications, short block length codes, nonlinear and nonbinary codes, and even quantum error correction.
More recently, I have been exploring the use of deep learning to design novel error correction codes for communication channels with feedback.
Feel free to explore my publications and patents.
